If you are wondering why I made OutdoorFurniturePlans.org…

It’s because I went online looking for plans just like you, but I ran into a lot of difficulty along the way. I used free plan sets only to find that I couldn’t figure some things out and there was zero support. I became extremely frustrated and had spent too much money already. I ended up asking an acquaintance for help…. Boy was that humiliating. Then when I wanted to try another project I found a resource that had thousands of easy to follow plans and support when I needed it! After that I decided to try and help other people who were going through the same thing.

So Who The Heck Am I?…

I’m Roy Gardner (Yes I built that deck!) and I can honestly say that I am no longer a novice woodworker! I have become fairly adept at building a wide range of outdoor furniture (that I sell) and many other projects.

It sure hasn’t always been the case though.

As I mentioned above I struggled for a long time learning expensive lessons on my own. I was always proud of my work, but I could tell by the looks on other people’s faces I had a long way to go.

That was until I finally got some real help that laid things out for me step by easy step.

At one point I was ready to dust off the golf clubs and forget woodworking forever, then I stumbled upon Woodworking 4 Home and I have been getting better ever since.

Fortunately I didn’t, those plans changed everything for me.  The drawings were top class, the instructions were step by step and easy to follow.  I had thousands to choose from so I could start out easy and gradually my confidence grew and my woodworking skills too.

And the past few amazing years bring me to today! When I’ve created a website about starting out with easy woodworking plans. I never would have dreamed of this a few years ago…
